Homework and Extra Practice
Reading
Students should be reading and recording the books and minutes they're reading nightly on their reading logs. The goal is to read a minimum of 100 minutes a week.
Math
Students usually have one paper a night to review the concepts they've learned from the math lesson taught that day.
Practice math facts daily or nightly on the Freckle website. Use the Zearn, Freckle, or Pearson website to reinforce, practice, or challenge.
Grammar and Spelling
Students may have one spelling and one grammar paper a week. We usually complete the spelling Take Home Task in class. Students will bring home their Word Preview and Words to Learn on Mondays. Please review these words with your son or daughter before the spelling assessment on Fridays.
