We’re having a fun, collaborative, and energetic start to the school year!  The students are developing a classroom community, learning the routines, and beginning to demonstrate great work habits!

We’ve begun EL Module 1 Overcoming Learning Challenges Near and Far.

Students are practicing how to write the gist of a story by answering key questions on a graphic organizer.

In addition, they’ll be working on writing main ideas to stories and writing constructed responses.

We will begin accessing ReadWorks Digital and Epic to read a variety of genres online.  Students will be given reading assignments in Epic that relate to the EL topics we’re studying.  

As math assessments approach, you’ll see study guides come home to review with your son or daughter.  Pearson, Freckle, and Zearn are also websites that allow additional practice or ways to meet students at their individual skill levels.
